2-Mercaptoethanol ( also called Thioglyco, Beta-Mercaptoethanol ) is used as an intermediate for the synthesis of PVC heat stabilizers and as a chain transfer agent in the manufacture of PVC. It is used as a building block to produce corp protection products, dispersants, fibers, textiles, dyes, and pharmaceuticals. 2-Mercaptoethanol is used as a component of corrosion inhibitors and ore floatation agent. |
